What is in a name?

As a creative design agency and not taking our customers intelligence for granted we assumed it would be safe to not include the obvious in our company name. After browsing through the thousands of design agnecies named, 'ACME Design', 'ACME Solutions', 'ACME Studio', 'ACME marketing', et al, we figured we would attempt to stand out from the pack!

What does Camidoo mean? Camidoo is just a 'made up' name that is fun to say! It has no meaning or reasoning behind it, what is in a name anyhow; as a company should be known for the people representing it, and the integrity and work ethic that they bring to the table.

How did we come up with this 'name'? Initially we started brainstorming for a 'serious' company name, they were all taken! Next, we attempt to find a name with 'real' meaning that would convey how 'serious' and 'professional' we are, they were taken too! Pretty soon we just started combining real words from the two afore mentioned groups and after many hours of searching through dictionaries and thesauruses we were tossing around some pretty silly ideas. This brought us back to whom we really are and what we represent, we work hard, we like what we do, and we live by our word, so we figured; why not make up our own! Which lead to the idea of a nonsensical word that had absolutely no meaning and is just fun to say.

Camidoo means just that, nothing more, nothing less. We felt that a name shouldn't define us as a company or convey any preconceptions about what we do or who we are. We should let how we work, the end results, and our customers satisfaction speak for us.

It is pronounced (Cam-e-do). Its fun to say, makes us smile and it's a great ice breaker. Go ahead. Say it a few times, change it up, sing it, and come up with a jingle!
